I just got them and sound quality is superb. Haven’t tested the noise cancelling yet in noisy environments, but I have a good feeling about it

I want to buy a headset for gaming and watching movies and series. I don’t care about the price. What matters to me is the quality of the sound and enjoyment. What do you advise me?

I've never heard another person speak the same way as you do its weird its just a continuous tone no variance up or down.

Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray are absolutely the best options, and should really be the default. Video quality is greatly superior to even the best streaming. Audio goes without saying. But there at two major benefits beyond quality: 1. Once you own the disc, no one will take it away. Even when people have purchased a movie from a streaming service, the services have removed the movies people purchased. Recently Sony did this. 2. Many times, buying a 4K movie also includes a second disc with the regular 1080P Blu-ray, and includes a digital code to own it on a streaming site. It is the best value for money, without question.

Well presented. Amp and speakers are in separate rooms routed through basement. To ease bi-wiring JBLs' installation, am running a 1 into 2 setup (or 2 into 4 if you prefer): split single + and - leads from amp into double at speakers. I assume it has the same effect as commercial bi-wires. Am I mistaken? Thank you.

I have a WIIM Pro Plus and was delighted with it until today. AirPlay / WiFi disappeared from the output options leaving only COAX, Line out, Optical out and blue tooth as options. This is going to be very unpopular with Sonos users

The sound when moving from speaker to speaker in a given scene.The best would be that all the sound reproduction to be faithful, then they have to be of the same kind of speakers in terms of its power, frequency response, attack, sound throw pattern, etc ., Only then, the imaging can be matched, so that its seamless sound everywhere .Hence close to the natural feel of the content.Its amazing to experience. Yes, I know the limitations of the price and size to achieve it and NOT many practice that way. The companies try to get closer in doing this by, using the same Midrange-Tweeter combination to the Atmos & Surrounds. Also, the Ceiling mount multiway speakers, even if its concentric, the image of the sound will be poor by its virtue of build. We can try full range to minimise this for a better imaging. Hope this makes sense and give it a try if possible to enrich the unique experience in the Home Theater Room for as many seats possible.

I bought these to replace my broken Mobius headset (5 years of near-daily use had its toll). I was expecting a lateral move but was blown away by the upgrade. Better build quality, clarity/staging, comfort, mic quality, and INSANE BATTERY LIFE. I also tried the Arctis Nova Pros and really liked them, but the Maxwells sound way better to my ear. The only drawback is the sidetone can be a little noisy when turned on otherwise, this is the perfect gaming headset.

As a gamer I am always in the market for better headphones.

They certainly look like "grown up" gaming headphones. Audeze makes some of the best headphones on the planet.

Good review, had mine for over 3 weeks now, have it paired with SW5 and very impressed, had my A9's for 2 years and enjoyed them very much and only had the occasional drop out. The sound is way beyond what the A9's produced. Very happy with the product and so is the wife especially when it comes to voice clarity , yes it's more money than I wanted to spend but selling my A9's helped in that area.

I'm sorry but even given the modern "innovation" and "firsts" there's simply nothing here to justify the $7895 or whopping $10,995 selling price of this turntable. They did say the platter was made of ceramic right? Not gold? Maybe if this was a 1 of 1 model and the only one ever made in the entire world, it might just maybe justify the price, but it would still be farfetched.

With a subwoofer and your getting close to the Nakamichi Dragon so how does it compare with that?

I’d be interested in further testing using the new Bravia tvs speakers with this system! Also going so far to test them against the Bravia tvs with speakers vs those with acoustic surface technology.

Calling these 3 way speakers is kinda misleading. Usually 3-way speakers are full range speakers, that is their is a tweeter for the highs, a Mid driver for the mids, and a subwoofer for the low end sounds. A full range speaker should play between 20-28,000hz. I don't think the Quad can play anywhere close to 20hz even with the SW5 subwoofer (I think it's closer to 40hz with the SW5). Bigger speakers will always have an advantage over smaller speakers, its a physics issue, sound processing can help and has helped a lot. I have the A9, and for simplicity the A9 is amazing, but if you are used to good quality towers, you will notice the trade offs and how Sony used their amazing processing to make the A9's sound magical. Their were 2 big issues with the A9 that drive me nuts (especially as its such an expensive systems), first the drop outs. They don't happen all the time, but when they do you really notice it especially in the dialog, and it happens so spontaneous you don't know if its the source material or the signal or what, but its always the A9 dropping one of the speakers for a period of time and then reconnecting. The 2nd issue is the lack of mid level. If you are coming from a system like a good pair of towers or bookshelf speakers or 5.1 with a receiver, you probably will notice the sound is not as good. If you are coming from listening to your TV speakers than the A9 or Quad or just about any sound bar will blow your TV speakers away. The A9/Quad is a fantastic solution to get amazing sound in any room with ease. Still wish it had a proper center.
